Award-winning director Charlotte Ginsborg and first time director Anatole Sloan's charming and poignant 29-minute film follows the thirteen Syrian refugee women who came over from Jordan in 2016 to tour the UK with our production 'Queens of Syria' ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Gripping and moving" - Dominic Maxwell, The Times. In collaboration with London's prestigious Young Vic Theatre, and directed by Zoe Lafferty, the women worked their own stories of exile and loss into the play.
'AND HERE I AM' - PALESTINE
Developing Artists are thrilled to announce that our production, AND HERE I AM, a collaboration with the Palestinian actor Ahmed Tobasi & the award-winning writer Hassan Abdulrazzak, will be touring Palestine this Decmeber. AND HERE I AM premiered at the Cheltenham Everyman in June 2017, before touring the country untill August. At the heart of the project is an extensive workshop programme with young people in the Jenin Refugee Camp in Palestine.

The critically acclaimed and sell-out UK theatre tour of Queens of Syria saw thirteen refugees travel from Jordan to the UK to tell their stories. Nearly a year on, in collaboration with Refuge Productions and the UNHCR, we will be releasing a new short documentary film about the project, entitled 'The World to Hear'. Developing Artists is thrilled to be working with Refuge Productions to re-mount their 2013 production of Syria: The Trojan Women in Amman (Jordan) this Spring, before touring it to the UK in July. The physical production will be combined with their award winning documentary Queens of Syria.
